What is 180 Degrees?
180 Degrees is a youth music and missions training group based in the Philippines. We believe that investing in young people to reach their own generation for Christ will instill in their hearts the real need for workers on the mission field. We are a group of committed born again Christian youth (ages 13-21) from various evangelical churches who commit ourselves to 180 degrees through a written covenant with the Lord. We, along with our parents, sign for a two year period. We communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ through music and the performing arts. It enables us to reach out to youth in a very effective and creative way.
How do I join 180 degrees?
We always announce openings for band members and singers. We advertise via our own website, church announcements, and radio announcements. Online applications are also welcome.
180 Degrees allots an auditioning period of time where we gather our members. Some present members stay and we open our doors for interested youth who would like to audition.
Is 180 Degrees a church?
No. Some have asked whether 180 degrees is a church. To clear out the confusion, 180 degrees is not a church, nor a substitute for one. It is a ministry that focuses on youth reaching youth for Christ through music and missions. The training that the youth receive will be brought back to the church to inspire other youth to reach out more and spread God’s glory to other countries in Asia. We are also challenging youth to be sent out by their local church to share the gospel both here and abroad as they grow and learn where God wants them to serve.
If I join 180 Degrees, what will I give up and what will I gain?
You will give up wasting time because you will have to use good time management to finish school assignments, home assignments and 180 Degrees assignments!
You will gain: FRIENDS, MORE FAITH IN GOD, DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE, EXCITING CHALLENGES, TRAVEL AND NEW EXPERIENCES, CHANCE TO SEE GOD USE ME!
How can my church partner with 180 Degrees?
Invite 180 Degrees to give a concert for your youth! Become a “member” church through pledging monthly support and see your church become more excited for missions! Pray for 180 Degrees regularly and see God work mightily! Send qualified youth to audition for 180 Degrees.
Will I find a boyfriend/girlfriend in 180 Degrees?
Boys and girls who are members of 180 Degrees relate to each other as brothes and sisters. If romantic relationships develop, then someone has to resign from the ministry. Joining 180 Degrees will give you close relationships with other Christian youth as you bond and serve God together.
Why should I join 180 Degrees?
Because God wants you to spread His glory (and make His name famous) all over the world, especially in countries where people have not had even one chance to hear about Jesus Christ.
